The League of Women Voters of Howard County supports Ho.Co. 3-11. This Bond Bill requests $500,000 for Blandair Regional Park. The League's support is based on our Recreation and Parks position for "facilities accessible to and meeting the needs of a changing and diverse population."

The League has testified since 2004 on behalf of the 298 acre Blandair Regional Park which is located 1 mile east of New Town in Columbia. The Park is home to Blandair Mansion, a historical structure undergoing preservation. Plans for the Park include a Children's Garden, an Environmental Education Area, as well as playing fields, and picnic shelters.

The League requests the support of the Howard County Delegation for the bond request.
